Maddox Nutrition LLC is an outpatient nutrition practice based in Colorado providing compassionate, client-centered, and evidence-based nutrition counseling across multiple states via telehealth. We specialize in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, intuitive eating, body image concerns, and helping clients heal their relationship with food and their bodies. Many of our clients request a Christian faith-based, Christ-centered integration to their nutrition counseling sessions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist to join our team as a W-2 hourly employee. This role requires a strong interest in eating disorder treatment and a commitment to non-diet, weight-inclusive client care.

You will work under the direction of practice Founder & Director, Liesel Maddox, follow established clinical protocols, and participate fully as a member of our collaborative care team. This is a full-time position requiring time to build up to a full caseload over 3-6 months. To allow for normal fluctuations in caseload and cancellations, full-time is considered 22-25 clients/week. Expect to work 10-20 hours per week in the first 1-3 months, building to a full-time schedule of 30-40 hours per week within 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct nutrition assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and establish measurable goals in collaboration with clients.

  • Provide scheduled nutrition counseling follow up sessions (typically weekly or biweekly) via in-person and telehealth and schedule directly with clients for long-term retention.

  • Deliver evidence-based nutrition education and counseling addressing both eating disorders and co-occurring medical or mental health needs.

  • Collaborate closely with other treatment team members, including therapists, primary care providers, and psychiatrists, and other support persons.

  • Integrate non-diet, weight-neutral approaches, such as HAES and intuitive eating, within a trauma-informed care framework.

  • Incorporate Christian faith-based principles into counseling sessions when requested by clients at their preference.

  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in the company’s EMR system in accordance with state licensure and insurance requirements.

  • Participate in team meetings and 1:1 case consultation to grow as a clinician.

  • Adhere to all company policies, HIPAA guidelines, and ethical standards of dietetic practice.

  • Want to grow in experience as an ED dietitian while receiving direct support and supervision on ED clinical work

  • Want to work with a supportive team that believes in gold-standard nutrition counseling, integrity, hard work, and always leading with compassion and empathy

Schedule Requirements

  • This full-time hybrid (or fully remote) position will gradually build up to 22-25 client sessions per week after the provider has been credentialed with Maddox Nutrition insurance contracts. Credentialing takes 2 weeks to 3 months on average and differs based on the insurance company. As soon as the provider is credentialed as in-network with an insurance company, they may begin taking new clients, pending onboarding is completed.

  • Monday-Friday 9am-5pm local time availability. The RD may set their own work schedule, designating certain days and time frames for seeing clients with reasonable availability.

  • If the RD is able to perform 2-3 days in the office in Colorado Springs, in-person sessions may be scheduled for the same 2-3 days to provide a consolidated schedule, with the remainder of sessions being held via telehealth.
